Trunk Line Association rejects grain rate cut
The Trunk Line Association announced that after thorough review railroads see no basis for reducing export grain rates. They cited unremunerative margins east of Buffalo, uncertain gains from increased Lake Erie traffic, potential revenue losses, and a temporary, abnormal peak that will normalize when the new grain crop ships via lake routes.
