Blaze at Crosby Street Building Destroys Fourth Floor

Carnegie Trust backs syndicate to control banks merger
A syndicate of Carnegie Trust Company directors and other investors has gained control of the Van Norden Trust Company the Nineteenth Ward Bank and the Twelfth Ward Bank with a plan to consolidate them with the Carnegie Trust Company.
