Woman Gives Away Greenbacks in Sixth Avenue Crowd
A well dressed woman distributed large rolls of cash to about two hundred shoppers near Seventh Street and Sixth Avenue. Mrs George Baiher and her daughter Miss Agnes Baiher were riding in a light wagon when frightened horses bolted near Ninety first street. The wagon overturned at Ninety first and both women were thrown out. Mrs Baiher sustained severe bruising and facial scratches and was taken to Presbyterian Hospital before returning home. Miss Baiher was uninjured. The wagon wrecked and the horses fled with only slight scratches. Marshal Fuller halted the runaway at Ninety first.

Tragic Hanging Of Brooklyn Boy in Cellar
Louis Yates thirteen of 458 Warren street Brooklyn hanged himself in the cellar after being told to stay home and mind the baby. His mother Mrs George Artese had married his stepfather following divorce from his father, a sailor, and Louis longed for the water and boats. The body was found yesterday by carpenter David Curry in a distant cellar corner describing a noose from a new clothes line tied to a beam.

Desertion attempt ends in drowning near Glen Island

Her two brothers William and Thomas are ill but improving and expected to recover. Thomas contracted the illness from an unknown cause prompting the State Board of Health to investigate. The mother a Christian Scientist delayed medical care until Mr Ellis insisted on a physician. The child's life could not be saved.
