Shamrock III Dismasted in Gust. One Seaman Dead
In Weymouth on April 17 Shamrock III was dismasted by a sudden gust causing the death of a crewman named Collier. Sir Thomas Lipton and guests were aboard as the yacht drifted helpless in Portland Harbor with repairs and safety checks underway.
