Andrea Gambino a 26 year old Italian barber was shot seven times and killed after demanding 50 from Pietro Zarcone a 37 year old butcher at Fourth avenue Union street Brooklyn. Zarcone confessed and was arrested. A pursuit by Gambino's companions and bystanders followed for blocks until Gambino fell. The police call it an attempted Black Hand extortion.

Tragic child exposure death on Suffolk Street roof

Two Young Women Shoot Themselves On Lucania Voyage
On the Cunard steamer Lucania, which sailed from New York on April 7, two young women, Margaret Clarke aged 29 and Annie Miller aged 22, shot themselves in their second class cabin. Clarke died Thursday on the voyage and Miller killed herself four days later. Bodies were buried at sea and no inquest will be held.
