W W Wilson of 257 West Thirty-fourth Street called at Police Headquarters to press President York for a full investigation into his wife’s loitering arrest in the Tenderloin last week. Wilson claimed the arrest was an outrage and said his wife is ill from nervous prostration and cannot attend hearings. President York promised a thorough inquiry.
Secretary Hitchcock accepts the resignation of Webster Davis by presidential direction. Davis sent the letter to the President and the Interior Secretary did not release the text of the letters. Hitchcock declined to comment further on the matter.
