Doctor Has Her Arrested In Bronx Noise Case
Mrs Frances Babb of 337 Willis Avenue and Dr Alfred Joseph of 335 Willis Avenue, Morrisania, Bronx, clashed over persistent wall tapping. The physician had Mrs Babb arrested on a charge of annoyance, witnesses testified to the raping that began early morning and ended late at night. She was released on her own recognizance for examination on September 25. The case before Magistrate Breen adjourned for a week.

Auto Bandits Capture in Ohio Robbery and Arrests
In Toledo on September 18, Herman C. G. Layties of St. Louis and five companions were held up by three armed men near Bryan, Ohio. The robbers seized 2900 in gold from a woman’s purse, diamonds, and jewelry, then fled in two cars. A confrontation left Sheriff Weinland with minor wounds. one suspect named Duffy of Toledo was arrested, and others were taken later from a train at Wauseon. Woman Forged Checks Sentenced to Four Years
Harriet Cohen a stenographer pleaded guilty to forgery in the second degree before Judge Mulqueen in General Sessions and was sentenced to four years in Auburn Prison. The case arose after an investigation found she forged indorsements on checks to herself from the Standard Steam Supply Company of 542 Broadway, with thefts estimated around $9,000.

Balcony Collapse Kills Bay Shore Man at Babylon Club
Albert Gates 46 of Bay Shore died at Olympic Country Club when the clubhouse balcony collapsed as he stood on it. He fell headfirst and suffered a fractured skull.
