Deception in Thaw Proceedings Sparks Court Debate
In Pittsburg the Thaw bankruptcy case saw a heated dispute as Col Asa Bird Gardiner argued that Thaw is insane and not competent to testify. He claimed New York had already ruled Thaw insane and that the writs were obtained with withheld facts. The defense and allied lawyers requested postponement as authorities and law books were gathered.
