Mrs Stephen Dieckman aged 56 of 710 Hudson Street Eloboken was killed when her carriage ran away on the Hudson Boulevard near Weehawken. Her son 26 and maid were hurt while the coachman was not fatally injured. The horse drew four miles before stopping after colliding with several vehicles.

Newport RI October 5 Stockholders of the Newport and Wickford Steamboat and Railroad Company elected William Clarke and Clar Burnick to the board and removed President Miller and directors.
