Danbury Connecticut November 20 George Thrall owner of a Bethel meat market confessed to stealing and butchering two oxen belonging to Smith Wheeler of Huntington. The oxen were taken from a pasture on Sunday night hauled to Bethel and later found in a Danbury tannery. Thrall fled a police raid but was captured and confessed. Police search for other gang members continues.
The seventh furnace at Tennessee Coal, Iron, and Railway?s Ensley plant began blasting, bringing three furnaces online. Full ten furnaces expected soon, production to reach 1,000 tons daily. Output expanding since construction two years ago, with exports up to 2,000 tons per cargo.
