Governess Accused After Hurling Baby From Ship
Rosa Naedle, a 27-year-old Swiss governess aboard the Holland-América liner Nieuwe Amsterdam, hurled Aaron Gubowski, one year old, overboard during rough seas near the Atlantic. Lifeboat search failed to recover the child as the ship circled the waves. Mrs. Gubowski collapsed, later told her husband back in Fargo, while Naedle remained confined to her cabin awaiting trial.

Man fakes fit among firemen crowd on Park Avenue
At about 8 last evening a man pretended to have a fit while firemen from Engine Company 36 on Park Avenue near 126th Street prepared for a call. An Harlem Hospital ambulance was summoned and Dr Ginsberg observed no real illness. A police officer identified him later as a professional faker, James Robertson of 267 West 44th Street, and he was locked up as a disorderly person after a yearlong search by Officer Vetter.
