H Milliken married Miss Agnes Gayley at the Church of Ascension on Fifth Avenue and Penn Street with Bishop Greer officiating. The reception followed at Mrs Gayley's home, Washington Square North, featuring Autumn colors and a Mendelssohn processional.
Miss Sara Van Vliet wed Lieut Wood in a ceremony at Christ Church Shrewsbury once used as a Revolutionary War hospital. Attendants wore uniforms, swords stood at attention, and the reception followed at the Van Vliet home before a two week honeymoon.
The two Wilsons plan a November 25 wedding in New York with invitations issued for a luncheon in Miss Jessie Wilsons honor on November 14. The bridal gown for Miss Jessie Wilson is described as soft white satin.

Cyril Maude will close his run of The Second in Command at Wal lack's Theatre next Wednesday night. Elsie Ferguson will star in The Strange Woman at the Lyceum Theatre on November 17. William J Thurlbut’s company, featuring Ferguson, heads to Boston where the Park Theatre cast is performing. James S. Regan deputy state commissioner of excise and Fifth Assembly District leader in Brooklyn died at age 51 at his home on Monroe Street after a four month battle with cirrhosis. He held multiple public posts including chief clerk roles, deputy commissioner of excise, and a 16 year district leadership term. He was survived by his wife and two children.

Harry Carroll, a young composer who wrote The Trail of the Lonesome Pine and Heart of Maryland, will debut as a single vaudeville entertainer next week at Hammerstein's. Dr Anselm Gotzl, late conductor of the Prague and Karlsruhe operas, has come to New York to reside and will engage in concert work here. His opera Madame Flirt is to be produced by the Shuberts this season. Sousa will end his twenty second yearly tour next Sunday night with his concert at the Hippodrome. William A Brady Fo Ray Comstock and Morris Gest have completed the cast for Hope My Thumb, opening at the Manhattan Opera House late this month. Iris Hawkins will be seen as Hop, Albert Hart as the Ogre, Billy McDermott as the King, Eva Fallon as M Viola Gillette as Hilario, Flavia At the Witch, Smith as Tanso and Trotter, Maomie Glass as Zaza, Charles M Hinton as the Woodcutter, and Hertha Delweenie as Fairy Forget Me Not. Next Monday night Christie MacDonald and Sweethearts will be at the Liberty Theatre, Werba and Loe will give away colored souvenir photographs of Miss MacDonald. Mary Nash of The Lure company and her sister Florence Nash of Within the Law were guests yesterday at the Salvation Army Woman's Auxiliary Bazaar at 15 West Fifteenth Street.
Sir William Henry Preece former Engineer-in-Chief of the British Post Office died in London. He guided telegraphy and telephony advances including introducing the telephone to England, duplex and quadruplex teleg raphy, wireless experiments, and the electric block signaling system. He was born in Wales February 15 1844 and had decades of service with the Post Office and prior firms.
William Marconi telegraphed from London on November 6 expressing deep regret at the death of Sir William Preece. He credits Preece with first taking interest in his early experiments and lecturing on them, and notes Preece’s influence that brought him encouragement from the British Post Office.
Grace Lathrop Collin, longtime contributor to magazines and former The Evening Sun staffer, died suddenly in this city on Wednesday. She was daughter of Charles Avery Collin, a former special counsel to Governors Hill and Flower and a Cornell Law School professor and Statutory Revision commissioner. A Smith College graduate, she held an M A from Columbia and published stories as Putnam Place. Her work drew praise from William Dean Howells who compared her to Jane Austen. She was buried yesterday in NorWich Connecticut, where her father once taught and married her mother Emily Lathrop Ripley.
Joseph Arnold, 48, member of the Seton Hall College faculty and tax collector for South Orange, died yesterday. Born in Munich, he taught at St. Joseph's College in Spring Hill, Alabama, and held a law degree from New York Law School earned in 1898. Survived by a widow and five children.
The body of American author Price Collier, who died suddenly on Monday, was cremated in Copenhagen. His ashes will be sent to New York for burial. A funeral service was led by Rev Mortimer FE Kennedy, Chaplain in Ordinary to King Edward VII.

Ewart, wife of Richard O Ewart, died yesterday.
