Yonkers New York election results show Michael J. Walsh Democrat defeating Republican John E. Andrus for mayor by about 250 votes. Sloane wins Assembly in First District. Democrats likely take three aldermen and four supervisors, Republicans three aldermen and three supervisors.
Syracuse election results show Democrat James K. McGuire defeated for mayor by Dia ne Jay B. Kline amid a Republican sweep. The full Republican city ticket won, with eleven of nineteen Aldermen elected.
Owego N Y November 5 Irving J Delavan Democrat defeated Benjamin F Birdsall Republican for sheriff. He becomes Tioga County's first Democratic sheriff in sixteen years.
In Utica Charles A. Talcott defeated Morris J. Davies for mayor by 931. George W. Jones won City Treasurer, W. E. Harter Justice, and Charles H. Poole Assessor, all Democrats. Republicans captured four aldermen. Democrats four. Rome elected two Democratic Supervisors and three Republicans, with GOP gains in District Attorney and Special County Judge races. Ithaca held fall city elections under a new law, Kent named Recorder with strong Republican victory and majority in the Board of Aldermen.

In Geneva New York on election day the Democratic candidate D E Moore won the mayoral race by a 15 vote plurality. Democrats also captured the Supervisor position while the President of the Common Council and Treasurer will be Republican. The Common Council will consist of eight Republicans and four Democrats.
In Troy Daniel E. Conway won a progressive Democratic-Republican ticket over Seymour Van Santvoord by more than 1000 votes amid protests and arrests at polls. Kingston Morris Block won as mayor by 100. Newburg J D Wilson re-elected as mayor by 1300 votes with Republicans sweeping city tickets. Binghamton Dr S L Smith defeated C S Darling by 796 in a close contest.
Senator John T. Morgan in Birmingham urged ratification of the new Alabama Constitution in the upcoming vote. He said he supported adoption for harmony and safety and claimed no effort to oppose it. His stance solidifies the Alabama delegation for ratification as a large majority appears likely.
