Harvard Observatory reports Father G M Searle estimates Halley’s comet will cross the sun on May 18 681 GMT with a latitude of plus 4 degrees 15 minutes. He notes the result is provisional but suggests a probable transit possible. Observations were taken at Mount Hamilton California and Williams Bay Wisconsin in September and October.
