Between 4 and 5 PM a thief entered Miss Willard's chamber and seized diamond rings, sapphire set rings, a monogrammed gold watch, a gold charm fob, a brooch, and a large sum of money, valued at 5000 dollars. A maid observed a figure in the hotel office waiting.
