Priest Forgives Assailant and Plans to Send Him Home
In Chicago on February 27, Father James K. Fielding decided not to prosecute Henry Vasey, the man who shot at him in a church last October. Fielding plans to send Vasey back to England after visiting him at a police station, stating the shooter may have acted from hunger and was not fully responsible. He will appear in court on Monday to seek Vasey’s discharge.
