Foxy Grandpa to Open at Fourteenth Street Theatre

The Fourteenth Street Theatre hosts the debut of Foxy Grandpa with Joseph Hart and Carrie De Mar, supported by a large company. The play follows Foxy Grandpas schemes to keep Goodelby Goodman’s grandsons amused amid mirrored disguises, romances, and a final spectacle on a tight rope as assistants and entertainers abound.

Gala Prince Henry gala at Irving Place Theatre

Manager Conried prepares a grand gala at Irving Place Theatre on February 22 honoring Prince Henry of Prussia. Strong crowds, elaborate decor, and a large cast are planned with seats scarce after 14 000 requests. The regular show Hoplal Vater Lieht’s Ja Nicht returns nightly, and Saturday features Blumenthal Kadelburg’s Im Weissen Roess.

Proctor Theatres Celebrate Washington Birthday with Gala Vaudeville

Proctor theatres in New York and Newark plan extended early openings and continuous shows for Washington’s Birthday. The Proctor Stock Company offers comedies and plays including A Gentle Man of France and A Midnight Bell, with acts by the Russell Brothers, Joseph Maxwell Co, Mazuz and Mazette, Favor and Sinclair, Lores Grimme, Bianca Lyons, and the Ten-Ichi Troupe. Special attractions include the kala technoscope, a new monologue by Delphine, black-face performers, and a Chinese born act, all to entertain through a full day of vaudeville and drama.
