Milton and Sargent Aborn propose an English opera series in Central Park with 5000 free weekly tickets for schoolchildren and low prices for others. The plan, submitted to Mayor Gaynor and Park Commissioner, envisions a 5000-seat structure and a touring company featuring top American singers performing standard operas in English.
