United States Navy Rated Second Strongest Globally in 1908

The Navy Year Book shows Great Britain first with 61 battleships and 1,395,930 tons overall for its fleet. The United States ranks second in battleship tonnage at 449,796 tons and total fleet tonnage at 770,468, with Germany fourth and France third when counting all vessels.
