John H Ballington ex assemblyman and businessman at 1065 Kent Street Williamsburg was severely assaulted in his office by William Fines recently released from Elmira Reformatory. Fines entered with false keys and struck Ballington across the head causing possible skull fracture. Police chased and arrested Fines. motive alleged robbery and Ballington remains in serious condition.
