Wheat and Corn Markets Show Mixed Signals in Chicago Trade
Chicago bulls led a fairly controlled wheat market as bearish news met by corn strength. Argentina weather and La Plata offers weighed on wheat while large clearances, 883000 bushels, partly offset receipts. Cash wheat in New York ranged around 1.06 to 1.17 per bushel with several classes quoted. Corn drew support from light offerings and a prominent wheat house moving about a million bushels of May, with the visible supply up 1,028,000 bushels and No 2 grades cited in New York and on free on board.
