Man Found In Madison Square With Jewelry Worth A Fortune
A man identified as Harry G. Marsh Jr, a Maiden Lane jeweler bookkeeper, was found unconscious over a railing at the Manhattan Club near Twenty sixth Street and Madison Avenue. Police recovered $571.86 in cash and extensive jewelry from his pockets including diamonds and gold pieces in eight pocketbooks. Marsh claimed employment by Aikin Lambert & Co but offered little explanation for the valuables. Investigation broadened to firm members. Mr Mann said Marsh was a bookkeeper but questioned the amount found.
