Bond Swindle Ties Wall Street Broker to Forgery Case
Broker Semuel M. Biddison was arrested after detectives charged him with forging bonds of the Central Coal Lumber and Construction Company. Witness J Montefiore Myers claimed bonds valued at $900 each were stolen, with $8000 loaned on twelve of the bonds later found valueless. Handwriting expert David N Zarvalho said signatures of Graham Donnelly, J A Polk, C P, and J A P were forged. An affidavit from Albert King supported the 600 bonds order in 1906. Bail set at $10,000 for December 11.
