Adele Boas Found Safe After Boston Impulse Runaway
After a seventy one hour absence Adele Boas the 15 year old daughter of Arthur E Boas disappeared from Columbus Avenue and Eighty first Street and was found aboard a New York bound train in Stamford. She had posed as Freda Dalton and fooled detectives in Willimantic Hartford and Boston before being identified by New York detectives. She said the impulse to leave came from boredom and that she planned to live on her own but decided home was best.

Nun killed in street after delivering wagon collision
Sister Gertrude 44 of the Dominican Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary was struck by a Brooklyn Novelty Company wagon at Sixty third Street and Third Avenue while walking with children to Central Park. Driver Isador Wolf 21 was charged with homicide as witnesses say the horse-drawn wagon ran at speed. Sister Gertrude died within seconds and Miss Loretta O Mahoney of Troy witnessed the tragedy.
