The wagon overturned at Ninety-first Street, Mrs. Baiher suffered severe bruising and facial scratches and was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, later returning home. Miss Baiher escaped unharmed and the wagon wrecked while the horse team sustained only minor scratches.
Otis Sawyer of Montclair New Jersey one of the Hotchkiss Academy students drowned when a canoe overturned. A New York diver arrived and Capt. C P Everett of the Merritt Wrecking Company made seven dives to seventy feet but failed to locate the body as search resumed.
A torrential storm drenched East Tennessee with two days of rain. Flooding threatens great damage as streams rise beyond bounds and sections of the Southern Railway and Queen and Crescent lines flood. Rain turns to snow tonight, delaying traffic and endangering travel.
