Two American women, Margaret Clarke and Helen Miller, committed suicide four days apart while aboard the Lucania from New York to Liverpool. Clarke was found dead in her berth with a mirror and revolver. Miller, in a later state room, shot herself after Clarke’s death. Miller left a note seeking burial at sea.
