Arthur Turnure founder of the Grolier Club and publisher of Vogue died of pneumonia at his home on East 71st Street. He was 41 and survived by his widow and child. Turnure aided arts publishing, chaired Vogue, and supported women’s charities and reform efforts with the S P C A Reform Association. He helped launch The Art Age and The Art Eurex before joining Harper & Brothers as art director. He led the Grolier Club for book study and promotion, with ties to Princeton, Calumet, Architectural League, Meadow Brook and other clubs. Funeral planned at his residence with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
