The Allan Line steamer Victorian arrived at Halifax from Liverpool Moville as the first turbine driven crossing. Horse accident leaves man with broken leg at Bellevue Hospital
Robert McCaught of 679 Sixth Avenue was thrown from a horse at Fourth Avenue and Twenty fourth Street late last night. He crawled to a saloon on hands and knees before collapsing unconscious. Employed at the Hip podrome, he had been ordered to ride a plunging horse to the stable on Twenty fourth Street. The horse shied and fell on him, then rose and fled. An ambulance transported him to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition.
