Robbers Attack Elevating Station Clerk in Night Assault
Alfred Ascher a ticket agent for the Second Avenue Elevated Railroad was ambushed by four robbers at the uptown Fifty-seventh Street station after midnight. They beat him seized more than $60 and fled. A man believed to be one robber was captured after a pursuit. Ascher was taken to Flower Hospital in serious condition.
