The Darius Commandery of Minneapolis conferred the Knight of Malta degree at the local Armory last Saturday evening. A large turnout of outside commanderies attended, with 200 plus participants in a parade from the depot to the Armory. After the ceremony, the group marched to the Masonic Temple for a banquet hosted by local and visiting masons.

Large Drainage Project Proposed by Engineer
A preliminary survey for Redwood county proposes the largest drainage project yet, covering about 56 000 acres with 34.12 miles of open ditch and 280 miles of tile lines. Red Wing defeated Mankato 21 to 10 in the final of the Minnesota state high school basketball tournament at Carleton College Sayles Hill gym. About 8,000 spectators witnessed Lindberg and B Brown star for Red Wing as they built a 8-4 lead after the first period and stretched it to 13-8 at half. Red Wing maintained control, Lindberg scoring three field goals and Brown providing strong defense to seal the title.
