Turnfest Planned For New Ulm In May By Turners
At the Minnesota Turners convention in Minneapolis the executive committee announced Turnfest in New Ulm for May 30 and 31 with possible July 4 rescheduling. The two day event will test new rules for the national Chicago tournament and draw over 100 participants across children to adult classes. The next convention will be at Turnverein St. Paul with future executive committee duties split among three societies.

Leo Altmann son of Lena Altmann of North Minnesota street died of influenza at sixteen. A St. John's University Saint Paul student, he was among four New Ulm boys at St. John's Collegeville and made good progress. Remains sent to New Ulm for interment at St. George Catholic cemetery. He is survived by his mother and three sisters.
