Brown County Receives 87 436 from State School Fund
Brown County will receive 87 436 from the semi annual payment of the state school fund distributed that week by G Schulz state superintendent of public instruction. The total distributed is 798 232 and Brown County ranks well compared with nearby counties. The fund comes from a 1 mill tax and interest from the permanent school fund totaling 922 000 000. County officials note the money will be apportioned among Brown County school districts on the first Wednesday of the month.
