Turner State Turners renew activities with May meet
The Turners of the State held a district convention at Turner Hall in Minneapolis amid war and influenza low morale. Delegates from St Paul St Anthony New Ulm and Minneapolis were named with 32 members and 76 total attendees including women and children in fitness classes. A May or June gymnastic meet in a public park was planned inviting Bohemian Turners and Northwestern Gymnastic Society.

Rinke led the crowd as four songs were presented by the audience. Short speeches came from Wm Mueller of St Paul, W Fleck, and Alb Steinhauser of New Ulm. The highlight was the Kaffee Klatsch one scene operetta staged by Mesdames W G Alwin L G Bell Herm Hein and L B Krook. Sunday afternoon featured Turn tag with New Ulm Turnverein youth classes. Delegates enjoyed a successful Turntag with supper, a dance, and general entertainment. Next district meeting set for St Anthony Turner Hall Minneapolis with the same executive committee and Saint Paul as headquarters.

Sheriff Pays 200 Fine In Kidnaping Case Fast
