Money for Mankato Bridge Shortfall
The Free Press reports Mankato will receive 12000 from the State highway commission for a new bridge, far short of the 20000 expected. Mayor Mayer said John H. Hohmann advised Blue Earth county gets 20000 for general roads and 8000 for the bridge, Nicollet county 15000 for general roads and 4000 for the bridge. The bill grants the commission power to fund third class cities for bridge construction, with an expected 10000 per county for the bridge this year.
