Stolen Brown Mare Belonging to Stuebe Bros Recovered
Brown mare May, owned by Stuebe Bros., was stolen from their Brown county farm Sunday morning June 10 and recovered Wednesday after a local farmer returned the animal. Deputy H F Jahnke traced the horse after a fisherman reported seeing a man riding it south that morning. Authorities seek Fred Wilkins, suspected thief, described as tall, 30s, light complexion, grey suit and hat. A $200 reward is offered for arrest and conviction.
