State Foresters Session Opens In New Ulm With 200 Delegates
More than two hundred delegates to the twelfth state convention of the Catholic Order of Foresters arrived in New Ulm and were welcomed with a band concert and civic decorations. The gathering featured a Pontifical High Mass, mayoral address, and multiple sessions, with a solemn requiem planned for deceased members and an afternoon program including a bond proposition election set for June 22 1915.

New Ulm forms a Music Lovers Club with twenty members to study and perform music for city needs. They meet at the L. B. Brook home for weekly practice, aiming to provide quartets, trios, and duets when entertainment is required. The group includes many of the city’s best singing voices from both young and older residents.

Thirty four seniors earned diplomas at Turner Theatre in the second largest class and first from the New High School of New Ulm. The program featured contributions from Thiseslna Gay Lucille Brunner Elizabeth Dougher and Dr. John Archer Gray whose address on The Man of the Hour drew praise. Gray urged a man of brains strength and character and noted today’s graduates surpass earlier Harvard and St Paul scholars in education.
