Tragic Canby Fire Claims Mrs Ohmer Warner
Mrs. Ohmer Warner of Canby dies from severe burns after gasoline dry cleaning fire and an electric washer incident. Born Elsa Seifert in New Ulm April 21 1891 she married Dr Olimer Warner in 1912 and leaves husband daughter Donna Marie parents and three brothers. Funeral in New Ulm follows the Canby} tragedy.

Silk Thieves Still On The Job In Hutchinson Robbery
Burglars struck the O. A. K. Department Store in Hutchinson last Tuesday night stealing silks valued at about 500 dollars. They entered via a rear window, leaving behind a two inch chisel and a railroad pinchbar. The thieves, likely disturbed by nightwatch or passersby, left loot in front displays and near the window, suggesting the job was only partly completed.

Troops at Fort Snelling Ready to Move South
Camp Bobleter reports troops inoculated for typhoid and anxious to depart for Texas by Thursday night. The 2nd Regiment led the oath ceremony at Fort Snelling, with most men taking the Federal oath and many to serve under Federal pay while remaining National Guard when not at war.
