Invite Lutheran New City Building Synod Convention Nearly Completed
At the Evan gelical Lutheran St. Pauls church of New Ulm an annual meeting approved inviting the next General Synod session to New Ulm. The August event will host 1,581 total parish souls with 2,012 communicants and 168 in the parish school. The church reports 18 new voting members, 236 total members, 509.41 in service collections, and 1,614.06 for foreign and domestic funds. Jail term for Sleepy Eye theft offender at Stillwater
James Riley, brought to the county jail in New Ulm four weeks ago on a $150 Sleepy Eye theft charge, appeared before Judge Clayne in district court on Thursday afternoon. He pled guilty and was sentenced to one to five years in the state penitentiary at Stillwater. Deputy Herman Jahnke took him to Stillwater last Friday, January 24.

Peace Declared In Simmet Boock Case In Court
