The Ninth Judicial District Bar Association organized with Henry N Samson as temporary chair and Roland Mathews as temporary secretary. Delegations from Brown, Nivetlet and western counties attended. by laws adopted to govern the group aim to uphold the profession and improve justice administration. The officers elected are Henry N Samson president A C Colliff vice president Roland Mathews secretary and Henry N Benson treasurer. The group plans annual and summer meetings and possible district expansion to improve judge coverage.

New Ulm Central Labor Union held a semi monthly meeting at Turner Hall to schedule another gathering for Sunday February 8 in the Turner Hall lecture room. The group aims to organize a permanent local branch of the Working People's Nonpartisan League and discuss entering politics. Women are invited to attend and bring friends to participate.

Sheriff Nabbs Helps Nabs Three Burglary Suspects
Sheriff Louis Rise and deputies Beaty and McKenzie boarded a westbound Minneapolis train at North Redwood after a Watertown tip. They detained three men aged 17 18 and 19 named J Nick FP R Allendorf and Ed Loman, allegedly with stolen jewelry and money. Police in Redwood Falls booked the trio for burglary and turned them over to Watertown authorities for charges.

Sent to St Peter for mental Sanity hearing
W M Jenkins the Springfield boy who disappeared September 28 was sent to the State detention hospital at St Peter by Judge W B Mather after a mental sanity hearing. He had been found in the Cherokee asylum and had been placed in Brown County before transport. He escaped from a train at Cambria station and was recaptured, then sent to St Peter Friday afternoon.

Reception for new pastor at St Peter’s Episcopal Church
St Peter’s Episcopal church in the city hosted a reception for Rev. Chas. Baxter and Mrs. Baxter at Guild Hall on Saturday evening. About 40 people attended and enjoyed a luncheon. Mrs. Harry Eckstein and Louise Kebms of Mankato returned home yesterday after visiting New Ulm friends.
