Explosion at Fairfax injures Hauser Lumber employee
Last Tuesday forenoon an explosion rocked the basement of Hauser Lumber Co store in Fairfax. Ben Lammers, an employee, was severely burned as the basement caught fire and a large plate glass window blew out. He had just poured 30 gallons of asphaltum into a former linseed oil barrel and was near the furnace when the blast occurred. He escaped through the store and into the open, flames extinguished on him. Doctors expect a recovery of about two weeks out of work.

Narrow escape for Lafayette man under overturned car
Jos Traurig of Lafayette narrowly escaped death when his car overturned in a ditch near Gibbon. A passing farmer lifted the heavy vehicle enough for Traurig to crawl out, saving his life as the Overland sustained substantial damage.

Yesterday eight large meetings at Fort Dodge Iowa organized a permanent body for the Daniel Boone trail running north and south through Mankato. Hon James B McHose leads the temporary group and has urged towns along the route to back the project. A J Weigel and John Hohmann represent Mankato. McHose seeks registry of the name with the state highway commission to guard the distinctive title and its markings statewide.

Gray Visits New Ulm on Hobo Topic

Firemen Called Out Twice In One Night
