Ole Larson Killed When Handcar Struck by Engine

A handcar party returning from Courtland Hill on the Mankato to New Ulm CNW line was struck by a backing engine driven by Yates near the Cottonwood bridge. Ole Larson was killed, others injured, coroner Rothenburg ruled it an accident. Larson buried Sunday. Society elections and officer names follow in the community notes.
