Local team slump continues as Le Sueur defeats New Ulm 2 to 0 at Mankato before 2000 fans. Hamann of New Ulm and Henke of Le Sueur duel in a tight game with Le Sueur squeezing out the win on errors and timely hits. Missing bike found after city postoffice break in
Joseph Karl on duty at the Iscal postoffice reported a rear lobby entry Sunday night. A thief unlocked no door and rode off with his bicycle. The bike was recovered near New Ulm Tire and Repair on Second North street after a long search. Karl has not identified the culprit. A separate thunderstorm caused damage near Walnut Grove with downed trees and a barn struck by lightning burning, four horses and grain lost.
