School Library Gets Major Upgrade Plan

Motor Cycles Crash On South Minnesota Street

Over 300 attendees from New Ulm joined Ten thousand German Americans in a parade for the German American Catholic Societies general session in St Paul. The New Ulm delegation, aided by the Second Regiment band, attended mass then marched to the parade route, wowed by the band's reception and the assembly at the old capitol before the auditorium program.

Reckless Driver Hits Girl in New Ulm
Otto Wiltscheck of Sigel township bought a car last Saturday and drove in New Ulm on Sunday learning to operate it. He struck nineteen year old Irene Schaeffer, daughter of Joseph Schaeffer, at State and Fifth North streets, injuring her and causing a nervous shock. He had no license and was fined five dollars and costs before Justice Buschers after being held by Chief Klause. The injured girl is recovering at Crete Hospital and hopes to return home soon.

Fifty years of St Pauls Lutheran Jubilee in New Ulm
The fifty year celebration drew about three thousand people with rides from Nicollet Courtland Sleepy Eye Springfield Mankato Sanborn Fairfax Gib bon Morgan and other towns. Prof Awgust Pieper preached on God guiding the church through its history as Rev Albrecht read the church history. A gold watch was presented to Prof Burk who retires as organist after 27 years and Klatt becomes the new teacher. A large dinner for 2500 and 8000 social attendees followed on the Martin Luther College campus with the Ladies Aid arranging free meals and hospitality.
