Repairs Start at Fair Grounds After Fire Damage
Ferdinand Crone has begun work crews on repairs at the fair grounds damaged by last fall's cattle shed fire. The Agricultural Society aims to rebuild temporarily and proceed with plans for the grandstand and later provide permanent animal housing. The Nicollet and Le Sueur county fairs are scheduled for late August and early September, with Brown County fair set before the state fair to boost racing and entertainment. Local horse entries and trainers are noted, and Fourth of July activities are planned in cooperation with the Citizens committee. A German three act musical comedy Der Schuster als Prinz will be staged with tickets 75 cents and 50 cents.
