Scalp Amputated in Baltimore Pike Accident
Two women Mrs. R. J. Marshall and Mrs. Annie Utz of Baltimore were admitted to Warner Hospital after a Sunday collision three miles east of Titltestown on the Baltimore pike. Mrs. Utz suffered a severe scalp laceration and facial and body injuries. Mrs. Marshall had a fracture of the right arm and shoulder with bruises. Emerich Vardonki, also of Baltimore, was arrested for reckless driving and fined $20 with costs after the crash, which occurred when his car cut sharply in front of the Marshall vehicle. He agreed to pay damages and hospital costs. The injured were discharged from Gettysburg hospital early Tuesday.
