Appeal to Auditors Report Over County Accounts
A Saturday filing in the Prothonotary's office presents an appeal from county auditors for 1915. Signed by Gettysburg and surrounding townships residents, the appeal claims the auditors did not settle Sheriff G R Thompson's 1915 accounts and disputes numerous listed charges as excessive or improper. The case cites the 1875 Act of Assembly allowing a jury trial at the court's discretion.
