Adams Would Get $148,985 Under New Education Bill
Assemblyman Harry D. Ridinger reported that Adams County schools would receive an estimated 148,985.45 in state subsidies this year under House Bill 824, an administration proposal to boost local district aid as part of Gov Scranton’s education program. The bill would raise the base subsidy per teaching unit from 5,800 to 6,400 in 1963-64 and to 6,800 in 1964-65, with district allocations listed for Conewago Township through York Springs.

The Adams County Public Library campaign neared its $100000 goal by reaching over $55000 on Tuesday. Campaign chairman Dr Harry F Baughman praised county volunteers and educators for their support and urged industrial and commercial groups to continue soliciting donations. Sewer Water Rates Increased After Study in Oxford
Oxford residents face higher charges starting July 1 with backdated May 1 changes. The York Springs Community 4-H Club met at the elementary school for a demonstration on ABC of Demonstrations.
