The Ber Mudian Springs High School held its first baccalaureate for 57 graduates from East Berlin and York Springs Sunday at 8 pm. Principal C W Eisenhart delivered the address on Spires urging aspiration, inspiration, and perspiration. The program included a prologue by the band, prayers, readings, class president speeches, and awards.

Memorial Day Parade Draws Large East Berlin Turnout
A chilly Memorial Day in East Berlin drew a large crowd for the parade with contingents from Hanover York New Oxford Fairfield Brodbeck and Hampton. Services followed at Union Cemetery led by VEW president Charles Noanc Jr with pastors Carlton Howells Harold Ro Staudt and others assisting. The East Berlin veterans were honored and a Bermudian Springs High School Band performance accompanied the observance.
