York A L through its show production committee calls for singers and actors to join the 1938 York Post American Legion theatrical company. Auditions start Dec 29 at 133 West Market Street with Director Ralph Dunbar and staff. Rehearsals begin the first week of January for productions such as Countess Maritza and Babes in Toyland.

An Adams County resident had his roadster stolen in Littlestown between 9 and 10 45 pm and later recovered undamaged near Hanover. A Westminster Maryland man reported his 1937 sedan stolen from the Homeland Tea Room before 11 30 pm. Groceries were also taken from another Hanover car parked on Hanover Road during 945 pm.

The Adams county seal sale committee reports an ongoing drive to fund tuberculosis work. Treasurer Walter A Keeney says the campaign has raised 835.25 dollars so far, about equal to the 1936 total, and is nearing completion.
