Factory employment drops in Pennsylvania in November

Factory payrolls fall sharply after peak of last year
Since the fall peak, factory employment has declined steadily with November showing 14 percent fewer workers than a year earlier. Payroll totals are the lowest since 1921 with wage earnings and employe hours down about 28 percent due to part time work. The employment index stands at 85 and wage payments at 75.4, roughly 14 percent and 23 percent below long 1923 25 averages.
